Oh hi! My name is Eila and I was rescued from the Mambo bushfires in the summer of 2018. It was really scary, especially as I was with my joey, Cohen. I protected him as best I could – luckily he only had minor burns and was able to be released. As for me, I had painful burns on my hands, feet and chest. The veterinary team treated my burns but unfortunately I am unable to climb well enough to be released back into the wild.
